Cakes of Hope
“Unless someone like you cares
a whole awful lot,
nothing is going to get better,
it’s not.”
~ Dr Seuss
Sometimes I read something, and I think…
Oh Wow!
I just love it!
I want to write about it… or share it… or both!
Today that happened. *Grin*
Just three months ago, Charlene Stoltz and her family relocated from Nelspruit to Ballito, Kwa-Zulu Natal. Charlene is a passionate photographer and she loves to photograph people, and especially families… with a soft spot for maternity and baby photoshoots, and of course the Ballito coastline is the perfect backdrop even on cold winters days.
Although they are still trying to find their way in these very new surroundings, Charlene wanted to do something special… and “Cakes of Hope” was born!
Here’s how it works
~ Charlene will bake two cakes each month FOR FREE, to help a Mommy or Family member that either can’t afford a cake or circumstances just don’t allow them to spoil their child like they want to.
~ Please send Charlene a message on her “Cakes of Hope” Facebook page… (she can always keep it anonymous if you would like) in the month that the child is celebrating their birthday, or at least 5 days prior so that Charlene has enough time to plan and organise the “Cake of Hope”.
~ In your message, please share some details with Charlene, she’d like to get to know you and your circumstances a little more. It will also help with the sort of cake she can provide. 🙂
If anyone would like to contribute or donate (not money)… or would like to start Cakes of Hope where they live, please contact Charlene directly!
